Mega township development in Kulai, Kuching, Batu Pahat and as far north as Muar and Segamant have also been launched to capitalize on the growing housing needs alongside their industrial growth.

In the next 8 to 10 years, key areas in Johor likely to witness dynamic urban growth besides the metropolitan area in Johor Bahru include the south-west area north-west of Pasir Gudang, and the north-east area of Kota Tinggi.
